Updates from The Barn Cat
Hey all. Well, I have to be frank: I suck at updating stuff. But I have an excuse. I haven't had a computer for a couple months. I had to bum off of Chainsaw's just to check things. There's a lot of things going on, so here goes:
First off, I was in NJ and MA this weekend to watch my teammates fight. It was a 50/50 weekend, and like the first one in our teams history. Some guys got robbed by judges, some had bad calls by the refs, but hey, sometimes that's just the way things end up in the sport. Nothing against the opponents, but as they say "consider it a gift". Our guys that won did excellent jobs and they're improving greatly. For those that lost, they have some things to work on and hopefully next time won't get caught with questionable calls and judging. In any case, we call come ready to rock at every fight, and we will all be back in full force slingin' leather at the next one.
As for me, I've been getting ready to face PRIDE veteran Akihiro Gono at UFC 78 down in Newark NJ on November 17th. Training has been good. Everything's starting to come together and I'm sure I'll peak right on time. Unfortunately, I'll be on the undercard again, but those decisions aren't for me to make. Be sure to bitch on the forums or something and hopefully next time I'll make the show. On a side note, I plan on winning by viscious KO, so in that case, maybe I will make the show (and hopefully win a sweet bonus check too). I know a lot of people have been asking about tickets and all. For those of you that haven't checked into it yet, shame on you... haha. Check into ticketmaster.com to see what they have. They're probably down to $300-$500 tickets and I know that's a hefty price to pay. If you are looking for something that better fits your price range, check into TicketLiquidator. They have some cheaper tickets (around $100), but they're the nose bleeds. So those of you looking to make it that may be the way to go. Not the best seats, but atleast it's a ticket.
I've got less than 3 weeks left and it's getting down to the wire. I'm pumped for this fight because my stock's going to shoot up. I'm undoubtedly the underdog yet again, but I plan on shocking the world and getting the upset as always. I hope to see some of you all there. I think my afterparty is at Hell's Kitchen, or something like that. I'll have more info on that in the next few weeks.
That's all for now. I'll be keeping you guys updated as things get closer.

-BTW check out Cryogel and Underground Products. They got some sick stuff. As always, give Revgear & Streetwise Fightwear some love too; they've been doing they're thing supporting The Barn Cat, so show some love in return.
8.09.07 - What's new?
Hey guys it's The Barn Cat, just saying what's up. Summer's gone by so quick, it's getting a little out of hand. I've spent the better part of the last month training and dealing with financial aid for when school starts back up this month. The government will give you free money for college, but you have to jump through a thousand hoops before you get it. Ain't that a bitch?
September and October are going to be busy months for The BombSquad, as basically our entire team is fighting those months. I'll be all over with them, cornering and training. Should be a good time, and I'll be posting where I'll be in my schedule section. Maybe I'll see some of you there and we'll throw one back.
I'm trying to get better with this update thing, and since I'll be on my computer all the time during school, I should get better at it by then. Just wanted to say a few words, or type them, and wish you all a great end to your summer. Take'r easy.

7.12.07 - First Blog from The Barn Cat
Hey guys. I know it's been a while but we've been trying to figure out this whole website design thing. Erik's read like 5 books on design, and I've read none so it's been a hell of a time. Luckily, we've gotten some help from a friend who actually knows what he's doing and now we've got it together. I've been training and trying to enjoy some of this summer, although the weather has been out of wack the past few weeks. The Dark Horse party was a blast and I have to thank all the people who came out to show their support and party with The BombSquad. I can't wait to have another one after my next UFC fight...
This weekend I'll be down in Trenton, NJ for the Bodog fights. One of the guys that is managed by our team and trains with us is fighting: Blair Tugman. He's a hell of a tough dude, and we wish him the best and will be down there to support him. Of course I'll be accompanied by my parter in crime, The Chainsaw, and as always we'll be hanging with our boys from MMAphotography, who always end up where we're at.
Speaking of my next fight... I recently received news that I'll be fighting on the UFC's card in November! No word yet of who my opponent will be, but as far as I know from the guys at the UFC I'll be on that card! The fights will be in Newark NJ, which is sick so I hope to see lots of you guys there. Be sure to mark your calendars. What a great way to kick off my 21st year of my life by getting another win in the UFC! Hopefully, we'll get something going on with our friends at The Dark Horse to set up another sweet party!
After this training block, I'll be taking a week or two vacation to enjoy my last weeks of summer before I start my training camp for my next fight and school starts. Through some weird twist of fate, I've found out I'm closer to graduating with an exercise science major, than my fitness development major. Practical time sucks, and they don't count my beign a professional fighter and training and coaching my team as an internship in the fitness field so I'm switching my major to get this crap over with and graduate! But yea, back to vacation... I'm going to be seeing some family up north, and maybe might take a trip across the border for my first trip to Canada. Who knows what will happen? I'm just going to hit the road and see where I end up.
As for now, that's all the updates on my life. It's been a great summer and should be a blast all the way to the end. Now that we've got this site thing set up, I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on whats going on. Thanks to all of you for your support, and until next time, take care.
